Chi Chi after hours stint !
I just realised that i left out a post that should be in this blog (I am maintaining a few blogs).
On Aug 12th '07, Chi Chi Shifted over to my new place with me. During the night, he sneaked out of his cage via a food tray opening. He made his way into the next rm where I was sleeping and hop onto my lap (thats where I always put him when I take him out of cage).
I guess he didn't feel too comfortable in the new environment. The thing that I was surprised is that unlike other animals that i've kept before, he actually made his way to me instead of destroyin the house or the nearest exit. I know he came straight to me coz they was a trail of his shit from his room to mine.... (ha ha ....funny.... No need bread crumbs. Shit trail....)
When I woke up after being tickled by him jumpin on me, I got up semi concious and saw him running back into his room. I followed him and saw him squeezing himself back into the cage. I promptly went and fitted in the feeding tray. He was a little frightened as I never allow him onto the floor. I petted him to let him know I wasn't angry before goin back to sleep.
I trained him to only hop around my lap and never go onto the floor. Even when he is out, i have a mat and fence around it. So still never touch floor. To him, the floor is taboo. Funny right....
Why isn't he allowed onto the floor !?
Well I have eczemia and him stepping all over the floor ain't going to do wonders for my feet. Even after I play with him, I have to clean my arms and legs or if hives break out on my lap.... I have to bathe cold water and even after that it takes a few hours for the hives to subside.
Oh I mentioned about escaped pets earlier right !?
Lets see how many pets escaped before .....
1) Pet hamster ran from kitchen to hall and hid under sofa
2) Pet guinea pig escaped but was too timid to run and hid behind its cage.
3) Pet crab..... does it count as a pet? Well it escaped the tank and was lost. Suspect it went down the drain pipe meant for the washing machine
4) Pet chin is the latest escape artist but he came to find me in my room so does it count as an escape !?
